Is This A Dream

I forgot where was I,
Amidst twinkling stars,
I was in the night sky,
I had crossed the frontier bars
Between life and dreams.

I forgot where was I,
Between Jupiter and Mars,
When Dreams said to me 'Bye'
I had to cross again the frontier bars
Between life and dreams.

(To any dreamy person)
Sreeja Mitra

*(Author’s note: I couldn’t resist writing this. Whenever I
go to visit dreams, they always seem to be waiting for me. I do not always go to them in my sleep. I do not always stay in their home for long. When I obliged to return, I return. But then, my home doesn’t seem my home at all.
My eyes tell me that this is your home, the city of Bombay.
But I’m still far away in a place, a place which is far better than a palace of gold. How can I believe them?
I know I’ve returned to the earth, leaving my heart in the depths of the ocean of freedom in the capture of dreams.
I know it liked to stay there, likes to stay there and would like to stay there. Perhaps for forever. But how could I help it? Its hard to decide. Sometimes I do have to force myself in paying attention to where I and my heart should stay.)

Dream is a great relief to our stess in these days when our life is full of tension. I too dream at times wilfully but most of the times dream occurs just like that and I feel relaxed after I wake up.
